- SECTION I – ORIGIN & DEVELOPMENT HISTORY
The █████████ (hereafter AUREATE-MOLLUSK) is a thaumaturgical-mechanical device constructed by H. D. Yordenriser, formerly of ████████████████. The device is a partial recreation of its predecessor, █████████-PRIME, developed during the interregnum between the conclusion of the Wake of the Steel and the commencement of the Horseman of Conquest’s Edelith Gothitas campaign. Primary design intent of █████████-PRIME was remedial stabilization and reversal of Corrosive Bodily Deterioration through controlled transferral of Luminessence between organic entities and man-made containment constructs. Due to sustained hostilities and material scarcity within the Edelith Gothitas peninsula, Yordenriser abandoned █████████-PRIME prior to functional completion. All original schematics were presumed destroyed. AUREATE-MOLLUSK represents a reconstruction effort undertaken several solar cycles, relying on incomplete documentation, mnemonic recall, and improvised materials. Funding and logistical cover were provided covertly by House Seversova, under the patronage of Viscountess ███████. While nominally framed as a medical continuation project, Legion assessment confirms the device’s operational mandate exceeds restorative use.
- SECTION II – TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION & FUNCTIONAL LIMITATIONS
AUREATE-MOLLUSK exhibits a markedly reduced physical profile relative to █████████-PRIME, prioritizing concealment, mobility, and modular deployment. The device consists of a primary stasis chamber, proboscis assembly, and transfigurative lattice, into which a living organism is affixed ventrally. Operational procedure initiates siphoning of the subject’s Luminessence through the proboscis, followed by internal transfiguration within the stasis chamber. However, redesign constraints resulted in the omission of a critical catalytic component (designation █████████), rendering full Luminessence transferral unattainable. As a result, extracted Luminessence undergoes degradation, collapsing into non-living Prominence encoding. Despite this flaw, the device has been repeatedly employed in life recreation protocols. Prominence harvested from Corroded fauna has been successfully instilled into small, animaliform constructs, primarily for perimeter defense, intimidation displays, or gladiatorial entertainment venues. Legion analysis confirms these constructs retain fixed behavioral and memory structures from their prior biological existence, with no capacity for new memory formation or adaptive learning. Notably, AUREATE-MOLLUSK has been applied to a human subject on a single documented occasion. Outcome classified as successful, pending long-term observation.
